Toyo RT

I'm really considering these new Toyo Rt's.... Ive had Toyo MT's and BFG KM2's on my truck. The Toyo's were 37x13.50's and the BFG's were 37x12.50's. Honestly the KM2's wore like dog crap. I had better luck with my MT's but since I have matured (a little) and dropping a couple grand in tires has become less appealing I see these new Toyo RT's which in my opinion seem like a hybrid between a MT and an AT tire. Still offering somewhat of a mud terrain look without going full blown grandpa on an all terrain. Sure all terrains offer a quieter ride and probably a better lifespan but you won't catch me sporting them in the 37" variety which my truck wears best. Anyone tried these yet? 45k warranty.

Wish I would have seen these back in September when I put AT's on my truck. Would have preferred the more aggressive tread pattern.

I will keep my AT2.  Look better than these confused class of tires.  Quieter and wear rated better too.  Bet the AT are better in snow as well.

Running a set of these for the last 3 years on my Chevy. Have worn evenly not to noisy works great when you let some air out in the mud, sand and snow. Still plenty of tread left for another year or two

Pretty sure these are brand new design. Looks like they will be my next tire

Those look similar to the Mickey Thompson ATZ p3. I had the ATZ (not p3 at that time) on my Tundra. I got 50,000 out of them with about 7/32 of tread left when I got a pinhole in the side wall of one from running the scabland rock in eastern WA. They were noisier than an AT, but a cross between the AT and MT. They worked great in mud, snow, and rain. Not so great in ice, but I handled that with less pedal.

So you've tried thes then? Ive  had AT Toyos too back when I was a kid when I had a Toyota tacoma. Not a bad tire but would look rediculosly stupid on my truck in a 37. I don't want my truck looking like an 80 year old drives it

I just picked up some cooper st max  for my 350 and could not be happier mt/at hybred with great traction. And about 600 cheaper than toyos . Schwab is pretty proud of there rubber. By the way I've run many a Toyo , I'm glad I found these coopers

The rt"s look pretty cool but I need them in a 35 12.50. Hopefully they don't look too weird. I've also looked at the cooper brand but not sure. I'd be interested to hear others input.

The st maxx coopers look pretty cool too. Big lugs and sidewall traction. You owe to to yourself to check them out

What are they load rated? I have a 07 Cummins ram 2500 quad cab long bed. The Toyos lasted quite a bit longer. The BFG KM2's were almost a joke how fast they wore

Im most likely going to get the rt's as I was pretty happy with my mt's. Plus I will have a legitimate debate talking tires after officially trying a few rather than ranting on how my blah blah blahs are the best tire in the world in the mud snow and mall parking lots....I know they are a new tire and probably don't have a ton of reviews yet so I guess I will be a guinea pig and try em.

I went through all the same stuff. Used to be a BFG guy when they had the old MT style. New style sucked. Ran toyos and really did love them. There a great MT. These coopers are a 10ply tire with I believe a 3ply side wall. I'm running them on a 01 F350 crew cab. I'd tell you the load rating but the rating system is slipping my mind right now and I do t want to tell you wrong. I know there rated for a 1 ton to tow. If you know the Toyo M55's they remind me a lot of those. Another great but expensive tire, difference is I think the coopers look cooler

Cool thanks I will check em out youre not the first to recommend the cooper's plus they do look good. I'm not all about performance. I admit it's a pavement pounder that seldom gets off road but it's lifted and has the look I like. I do some towing too. I just can't sacrifice the "look" I like and toss all terrains on it otherwise I would have left it stock understanding that's not everyone's priority. I'm willing to throw away some cash and sacrifice performance and mileage to achieve the look I like.
Seems tires are more and more expensive each time I buy and I am not biased to "one certain tire"
